What is Data Link?

Data Link is a voluntary scheme for anyone living at home, who might be reassured to know that essential information would be readily available to the Emergency Services, should they suffer an accident or sudden illness. The scheme ensures that vital information is available not only to identify you, but also to advise of relevant illnesses, allergies, medication and contact addresses.

Complete the form Fill in the Data Link form with a ball point pen. Each member of the house will have to fill in a form. Photocopy the original if necessary. Each form must have a passport photograph so you can be recognised.

Insert the form into the Data Link bottle Fold the form lengthways in half and then in half again (concertina style). Turn and continue to fold concertina style and place in the container. A maximum of four sheets will fit into a Data Link bottle.

Insert the Data Link bottle into the fridge Place the Data Link bottle into a fridge door compartment so it can be easily found by the emergency services. Placing the bottle in the fridge will also prevent it from being damaged in a fire.

Stick the label onto your fridge door Place the Data Link sticker onto the fridge door so the emergency services know you are a member. You will also need to stick a label to the inside of the front door so it is clearly visible. This means it is not visible from the outside.
